Gunch’s Ramblings

So of course a lot is on my mind these days.  How am I going to survive on my pay and child support in an expensive apartment?  How am I going to provide for them everything I would like.  I used to pride myself on being frugle out of necessity but my lifestyle changed so much when I was married to someone who made good money.  Of course we went into debt like a couple of idiots, but still, we bought what we wanted.  I need to ground myself a little more.  We can still go do the things we want, we just need to be a little more judicious about it.  Well, I need to be a little more judicious.  Trusting a six an two-year-old to be careful with money is a fool’s errand.

So I got my job offer from ZeniMax Online Studios.  I received the offer letter and returned it signed.  Looks like I will be testing games again on the 20th of September!

Why do your eyes haunt me?  How can I see them when I close my own?  You try to put up a brave front, hiding your emotions behind a mask so the outside world cannot hurt you, but when I look into your eyes I see vulnerability, hunger, passions, and love.  Don’t hide your eyes from me, please.

Friday night! Date night! This day is dragging sooooo long. I swear!

I’d lined up a ton of errands today to help pass the time, and I have already finished them. Now wtf am I gonna do for the next 5 hours? Gah!

So I took my oldest minion to see the movie “Despicable Me” today and she loved it.  It was nice to have a daddy/daughter date with her.  I wish I had more chances to do this, but there is always something going on.

What does it mean when you think of someone constantly even when they aren’t around?  What if you were separated from someone by a short distance, but one you couldn’t cross every single day, but you constantly are thinking of them?  You think about their eyes, piercing your soul.  You think of their lips on yours.  You think of hearing their voice whispering into your ear.  You can even smell the hint of vanilla from their perfume/lotion.

Mid-Terms are done, and I am pleased.  I seem to be getting Discrete Math much better now so no need to do any class dropping this semester.  Awesome!

Fun, Fun.  While I requirement for programming, Discrete Mathematics can certainly be overwhelming at times.  Don’t get me wrong, it makes sense, but it isn’t a way we are normally taught to think.  I can see it’s application for programming (and honestly, any problem solving), but it certainly does make you think in ways you are not used to.

Well, I’m not used to anyway.
